Bridget Jones is thirty-two single woman living in London working for a publishing company. Bridget takes on a new year’s resolution to turn her life around by losing weight, quite smoking and drinking all to find Mr Right while keeping records in her diary.

We follow magazine writers Andie Anderson and Benjamin Barrie each with their own motive with each other. Andie looking to complete an article in her ‘How’ columns when she is inspired by her friend’s breakup and comes up with the idea ‘How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days’. Benjamin looking to prove to his boss that he can pitch to woman comes up with the idea to make a woman fall for him in 10 days. The writer’s relationship starts, soon developing into something else.
