I recently read the original book of Alice's Adventures In Wonderland written by Lewis Carroll in eighteen sixty-five and was amazed by how poetic the entire book was. The way the character Alice spoke and thought was truly in depth of her character, the made-up words and her general confusion but also knowing was on point. Now the reasoning Lewis wrote this book is not very respectable or normal but he’s dead therefore I’m ok with letting you know that you really should add Alice In Wonderland to your TBR because as I’ve said it’s a really good book, and if you like that one so much there is a second one, both include:

And if you didn’t already know the movies are just as good, which I would find very hard if you didn’t due to the very popular adaption by Tim Burton in two thousand and ten. But that’s that not the only one, in fact there are more than a dozen more adaptation of the book so I wrote a list for you girls if you are ever interested in a piacular movie marathon. Here below is all the adaptations of Alice In Wonderland by Lewis Carroll.
1. Alice In Wonderland (1903) (Film)
The first ever adaptation of Alice In Wonderland was a black and white British silent film directed by Cecil Hepworth and Percy Stow and is still available to watch today, the film follows the original plot of the book.

2. Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland (1910) (Film)
The second adaptation of the book is an American black and white silent film directed by Edwin S. Porter, the film loosely follows the original plot of the book however many main characters were missing from the screen due to the filming tech of the time.

3. Alice In Wonderland (1915) (Film)
The nineteen fifteen adaptation of the book is an American Silent film directed and written by W.W. Young and also contained scenes from Alice Through The Looking Glass but unfortunately that portion of the film is lost media.

4. Alice In Wonderland (1931) (Film)
These nineteen thirty-one version is the first adaptation with sound with music and dialog. The film was directed by Bud Pollard and follows the original plot of the book.

This adaption of Alice In Wonderland is an American fantasy film directed by Norman Z. McLeod, the film was based off Alice In Wonderland and Alice Through The Looking Glass.

This adaption is a French film (Alice Au Pays Des Merveilles) directed by Dallas Bower. The film loosely follows the plot of the book with some originality scenes added.

One of the most popular Alice In Wonderland adaptions is the 1951 Walt Disney animated film directed by Clyde Geronimi and follows the original plot of the book.

This adaptation o Alice In Wonderland is a BBC film directed by and follows the original plot of the book.

This adaptation film is a BBC TV Play directed by Jonathan Miler and the play follows the original plot of the book.

This adaption is a musical British musical film directed by Wiliam Sterling and the film won two awards for best cinematography and best costume design. The film follows the original plot of the book.

11. Alice Through The Looking Glass (1973) (Film)
The nineteen seventy-three adaption is a BBC Christmas special and is based of the second book Alice Through the Looking Glass and follows the original plot of the book.

12. Alice In Wonderland (1976) (Musical Film)
The nineteen seventy-six is a musical film directed by Bud Twonsend. The film follows an original story of Alice who is an adult working is a library and falls asleep reading the book Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland where she dreams of a white rabbit where she follows to wonderland and has sexual accounts with the characters. It should be noted that this film is X-rated and not for children.

13. Alice (1982) (Musical Film)
Alice is a musical film directed by Jacek Bromski and loosely follows Lewi’s book however darker scenes occur throughout the movie. In-fact at the very beginning of the film Alice is witness to a murder.

14. Alice In Wonderland (1985) (Film)
The nineteen eighty-five adaptation is a two-part American television musical film based on the first and second book with each film loosely following the original plot of the books.

Alice is a darker version film based on the books with a more modern/ realistic approach of a child’s imagination. The film was directed by Jan Svankmajer.

The nineteen ninety-nine adaption loosely follows the original plot of the books Alice In Wonderland and Alice Through the Looking Glass.

And of course, the adaption we have all heard off, directed by Tim Burton this film follows the book’s plot loosely but did not disappoint. Allowing the sequel Alice Through The Looking Glass released in two thousand and sixteen.
